Hello, my name is Michael Myerscough, and I am the head coach for The Reconnection Institute. I know this might be a difficult time for you, but I’m very pleased to meet you and eager to provide you with the support you need as soon as possible. The Reconnection Institute specialises in infidelity and the complex factors that can lead couples down that challenging path. At the end of this letter, you’ll find links to two of our most helpful resources for emergencies like this. If you’re dealing with infidelity, you’ll find our ‘First Aid for Infidelity‘ document, and if you’re struggling with the decision to stay or leave your relationship, you’ll find our ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go‘ guide.
You’ve found my website either through a recommendation or by searching for a specific term. Your presence here tells me that you’re likely experiencing a great deal of pain, and I’m here to help. Over the years, I’ve developed a variety of resources that I know can make a significant impact on your relationship’s progression. I offer these resources to you for free because it costs me nothing, and if I can help ease your suffering, my life becomes a little more meaningful. If you come to see the value in what I have to say and believe I can guide you to where you want to be, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
I’m truly glad you signed up. I recognise that your time is valuable, so I’ll be careful not to waste it. Over the coming weeks, you’ll receive some very helpful information. But first, let’s cover a bit of housekeeping and outline my intentions for this course.
I understand that you’re eager to see results quickly. In the beginning, you’ll hear from me fairly often, and I’ll provide materials to help you grasp the key skills and concepts necessary for success. My goal is to equip you with the tools to become a relationship professional in a world filled with the perpetually perplexed.
To ensure you don’t miss any of the course content, please note that sometimes spam filters may delete my emails. To prevent this, please add me to your contacts. If you haven’t heard from me in a couple of weeks, be sure to check your spam folder.
On that note, if you decide you don’t need my help please do me a huge favour. There is a safe unsubscribe link at the bottom of this and every other note you get from me. I’ve made this as simple as possible for you, please don’t just hit the ‘spam’ button. That hurts my business and also leaves me having to use my private email to write to clients.
To get started, here’s a link to the ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go‘ resource. Even if you’re unsure whether it applies to your situation, taking a look at the first few pages can be incredibly helpful. In fact, everyone who’s taken the time to read it has found it hugely beneficial. If you haven’t already, consider taking the Compatibility Quiz included in the booklet and on the website here. Even if all you do is complete the section on identifying your Core Emotional Needs, you’ll be well ahead of the 95% of people who are unaware of why they feel unhappy so much of the time.
If the worst has already occurred and you are in the midst of dealing with the forest fire of an infidelity, then please read the First Aid for Infidelity booklet. It’s unfortunate that good therapists generally have a wait list which means it can be a couple of weeks before you can see them. I wrote First Aid for Infidelity to ensure you didn’t make the whole situation worse whilst waiting. Keep in mind that not all therapists are equally equipped to handle infidelity, and some may inadvertently complicate the healing process. I wrote ‘First Aid for Infidelity’ to help prevent this. I’m hoping you’ve read the After the Affair page on our website because it’s written to keep you safe.
Although I’m providing these resources to you for free, please don’t underestimate their value. They are the result of 25 years of experience and expertise, condensed into materials you can read in a day. I truly understand the pain you’re experiencing and hope that these resources will provide some much-needed guidance and support during this difficult time.
Best wishes,
